We are looking for a Warehouse Manager who will grow at our Pompano Beach, FL Distribution Center.

This person manages the DC warehouse personnel by creating a superior experience and a culture of employee engagement, manages all personal activities related to incoming freight, stocking, pulling, packing and shipping freight.

In this role you will:

  • Establishes strategic direction for warehousing activities of the organization.
  • Develops and implements operational procedures for and monitors activities, such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
  • Confers with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with other activities, such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing.
  • Reviews and monitors department reports, records, and documentation and determines necessary changes for overall department improvement and efficiency.
  • Directs salvage of damaged or used material.
  • Provides department budget recommendations and establishes controls to assure optimum deployment of resources within approved budget.
  • Assures products, parts, or supplies are shipped, distributed, or received in an efficient manner.
  • Evaluates physical condition of warehouse and equipment and prepares work order for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment.
  • Manages the daily operation and service level of the DC Stockroom.
  • Balances productivity levels with payroll to keep salary percentage to sales at a profitable level.
  • Promotes a team atmosphere through employee involvement, training and regular communication with employees.
  • Partners with HR in the areas of hiring, development, coaching and promotional opportunities.
  • Ensures appropriate standards are met as relates to employee coaching, discipline documentation, and terminations.
  • Creates a culture of safety by ensuring required training is completed and employees understand their responsibility for behaving in a safe manner. Enforces safety rules and investigating every accident for the root cause.
  • Administers company policies and procedures regarding employee performance, attendance, safety, training and other matters consistently and fairly.

The perfect person will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or business related field strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with MRP systems, work order, and/or warehouse management systems.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in a distribution center environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, and verbal).
  • Strong attention to details, highly organized, computer skills.
  • Enjoys working in a fast pace environment.
  • High energy level and self-motivated.
  • Ability to motivate a team.
