We are looking for a Sr Analyst, Supply Planning who will grow at our Vancouver, WA corporate offices or remote work negotiable.

If you enjoy a fast-paced, high energy and seasonal environment then you will fit in well as a Sr. Analyst, Supply Planning for Hawthorne Gardening.  On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for planning, execution, and management of the finished goods replenishment process for internal and/or external manufactured products, developing optimal inventory flows, deploying product into the Hawthorne North America warehouse network, rebalancing product as needed, and managing product transitions/launches.

What you'll do in this role:

  • Utilize planning system to develop weekly requirements for items within a category; develop and execute inventory flows to maintain inventory and service levels
  • Provide one point of contact for all category-specific supply related questions from other functions, and utilize problem-solving skills to collaborate with other internal functions and/or external contacts to resolve issues.
  • Develop and execute most cost-effective plan to deploy production and maintain inventory supply across warehouse network, balanced against fill rate results.  Monitor timeliness of shipments, and work with sites, carriers and warehouses to ensure on-time shipment from origin site and on-time arrival at warehouses.
  • Partner with key vendors to give visibility of future supply needs and collaborate on production planning.
  • Participate in annual execution of new SKU initiatives.  Includes participation in project planning meetings with other internal functions, and ensuring product is available to ship from across the network to meet target availability dates. 
  • Drive reduction in excess and obsolete inventory exposure of finished goods and components through strategic production planning and collaboration with MRP team.  
  • Key metrics that tie to this key work include customer order fill rate (service), inventory turns, inventory dollars, production site compliance, and distribution/transportation cost. 

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2-5 years experience in a planning environment
  • Production or planning systems experience using SAP, JDA or similar
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
