We are looking for a Transfer Department Supervisor who will grow at our Vancouver, WA distribution facility.

The Transfer Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of their shift as well as working with other departments and shifts to promote a safe, productive environment as it pertains to the Distribution Center.  You need to be a self motivated leader who will set expectations for their shift and be responsible for their results.  Primary objectives for Transfer Supervisor will consist of moving Company Transfers to supporting DC's in a timely and accurate manner.

In this role you will:

  • Lead a team of 12-15 individuals which consists of full-time and contingent associates.

  • Plan Inbound Transfers (IBT) to meet deadlines and predetermined metrics.

  • Work with associates to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance.

  • Monitor department discrepancies and provide guidance/coaching on proper corrections.

  • Monitor Transfer Request and move inventory as needed to in order for IBT's to ship complete. 

  • Train and enforce on company policies and procedures.

  • Ensure a safe and compliant work area.

  • Monitor and order services or supplies as needed.

  • Manage overtime requirements based on manpower needs that are balanced by the budget.

  • Set and maintain high standards to housekeeping.

The perfect person will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related study.

  • At least 3  years experience in warehouse supervision or supervision in a production environment.

  • Basic understanding of distribution, transportation, inventory control, and freight routing.

  • Computer skills including, but not limited to, MicroSoft Excel, Word, and Access.

  • A passion to coach and mentor a teams to make them better in their career.

  • The ability to adapt to flexible work schedule and/or hours within a seasonal business.  Including weekends during the busy season.
