  • Create actionable revenue-generating and cost-saving opportunities by analyzing the market for HGC products and assisting the sales and supply chain teams in developing accurate sales forecasts, identifying promotional and merchandising opportunities, and understanding consumer behavior.

  • Assists in sales planning, reporting/analytics processes for Amazon and (Ex.  This position is responsible for catalog management, identifying sales opportunities, sales reporting/analytics, and ultimately increasing sales for assigned accounts.  

  • This role will incorporate the understanding of key business drivers learned through collaboration with multiple HGC business groups and the customers while accommodating customer-specific variables.  This position will collaborate regularly with multiple internal and external partners.

  • This role delivers a chance to drive measurable improvements in sales and profitability through the creative application of analytics. The optimal candidate is therefore highly motivated to apply high-grade quantitative skills to a wide range of fast paced and evolving business challenges.

In this role you will:

Content & Catalog

  • Execute standardized processes to manage all online catalogs for assigned category and customer.  

  • Utilize tools to develop and maintain financial forecasts and reporting/tracking capabilities

  • Manage auditing processes

  • Develop solutions and ideas around product concepts designed for online channel

  • Partner with content team on customer priorities

Sales Analytics

  • Daily/Weekly execution of sales and marketing related tasks to support overall team goals. Includes leading weekly sales and marketing calls, trackers and POS Trends: Shipments and POS by region or sales area by product/category or product group. Category comparison by geography and other variables

  • Inventory build: POS for various time periods (future, non-consecutive future weeks), current inventory (on hand, on order), future shipments based on last year's results

  • Sales opportunity analysis: By item, product category or product group to include on hand and on order inventory,YTD POS and % change vs. previous year, future POS based on last year's results for a specified number of weeks

  • Basket data analysis

Marketing and Promo Analysis

  • Provide detailed calendar of events, promotions, marketing activities

  • Review promotion performance by various KPI’s  

  • Draw trends, conclusions, solutions, and report out

  • Partner with digital marketing team on analysis specific to assigned customers

  • Competitive insights and metrics

Ad Hoc Analysis - Uncover opportunities or issues to be resolved to further drive sales.

  • Market share analysis

  • Metrics analysis leveraging dart data

  • Marketing & Promotion Recap

  • Item or category level POS history and analysis

  • Opportunity analysis - new items, promotions, etc. help quantify.  

  • Leverage customer systems for data reporting

The perfect person will have:  

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred majors: Digital, E-Commerce, Sales, Economics/Econometrics, Statistics, Marketing, Information Systems, Finance;

  • Preferred 1+ year of experience in eCommerce, Online, Digital Sales or marketing, digital analytics;

  • Preferred 1+ year of experience with pricing analytics, econometrics, and/or market research.

  • Strong Quantitative, Qualitative analytics experience;

  • Lead and develop processes and projects to drive improvement and profitability while supporting key initiatives;

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

  • Ability to self-manage and thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment

  • MS Office and/or G Suite proficiency

Some other nice to have’s:

  • Agency experience a plus.
