The Senior Financial Analyst, Reporting & Analytics will work closely with business operators to provide financial performance tracking, reporting, forecasting and profitability. 

What you’ll do in this role:

  • Collaborate with Hawthorne’s Category, Sales, Supply Chain and/or the broader finance team to develop reports to capture KPIs, business metrics or other information that drive business results.
  • Analysis, design, development and configuration of financial reports for Hawthorne’s business users leveraging SAP R/3, SAP Business Warehouse & other BI tools. 
  • Ability to learn financial reporting tools (e.g. SAP BEx, Analysis for Office and Tableau).
  • Working with business users to establish requirements for new reports and modify existing reports.
  • Research, diagnose and resolve issues with incorrect reporting as a result of data validation.
  • Helps to ensure on-time delivery and accuracy of Daily, Weekly and Monthly scheduled reports.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • BA/BS Finance or Accounting or Management Information Systems.
  • 3-5 years of post-undergraduate work experience in public accounting or industry financial roles with experience in variance analysis, budgeting/forecasting, and/or financial reporting.
  • Experience with BI tools (BW, BEx, BOBJ, HANA, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience building Tableau dashboards is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and operates with a sense of ownership.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are important, as this person will be interacting with all levels of management.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into actionable reporting.
  • Basic understanding of project management is a plus.
  • Experience using data warehouse or analytical tools is a plus.
