The Senior Analyst II Supply Chain Planning Systems (SAP PP QM) is responsible for providing SAP Production planning subject matter expertise from a systems configuration and technical development perspective as well as possesses deep understanding of the related business processes listed above. The Senior Analyst II Supply Chain Planning Systems will often be called upon to support and champion system designs and plan/coordinate deployment for complex business solutions. Flexibility and adaptability to an evolving business model is key to success in this position.

The Senior Analyst II Supply Chain Planning Systems (SAP PP) will primarily be engaged with business counterparts to ensure Hawthorne and Scotts are developing solid systems and business processes to support growth and enhance current state systems and process for efficiency. This position is located in our corporate office in Vancouver, WA.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • SAP Configuration to meet business requirements

  • SAP specification development for custom ABAP programs where standard SAP functionality does not address business requirements

  • Unit testing and cross-functional integration testing for solutions

  • Provide timely production support for break-fix issues

  • Assist in gathering requirements, design, and developing minor and major system enhancements

  • Prioritize business enhancements requests by identifying business value, tracking time and dollar savings

  • Support production environment by trouble-shooting system issues and providing system solutions or process improvement options

  • Ensure user documentation is up to date with changes to processes, new processes, and system design changes

  • Ensure the business systems are secure and reliable supporting continuous operation of the company

  • Research solutions to assist in developing an applications roadmap, partnering with Business Partners and IT vendors

  • Collaborate with internal Business Partners and works cross-functionally with departmental team members

  • Drives continuous improvement by collaborating with business and department associates in areas of opportunity

The perfect person will have:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills

  • 4-6 Years of SAP PP development experience, with expert knowledge in several areas

  • Experience in configuring SAP QM

  • Demonstrated experience with industry best practices and implementing these into SAP business processes.

  • Experience reading, debugging and developing ABAP specs preferred

  • Knowledge / Experience in APO SNP / JDA Master planning or sequencing is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge shop floor control and relationship with other modules like Product Costing, MM etc. is required.

  • Knowledge of project management concepts and deliverables

  • Proficient in technical documentation and functional ABAP specification writing

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or Management Information Systems or related degree
