We are looking for a Quality Manager who will grow at our Vancouver, WA hydroponic manufacturing facility.

The Quality Manager develops, implements and manages quality systems designed to ensure continuous production of advanced composite materials and applications consistent with established standards, customer specifications, regulatory compliance and production goals.

In this role you will:

  • Lead and develop the team to deliver the highest standards in quality and technical integrity

  • Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service

  • Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality

  • Monitor products for quality and consistency

  • Evaluate the company’s product specifications and examines them to customer requirements

  • Set quality assurance compliance objectives to achieve stated targets

  • Promote performance improvement and quality assurance programs throughout the organization

  • Ensure product compliance to regulatory requirements

  • Identify, evaluate, and execute tests and procedures in accordance with quality standards for manufactured and purchased material

  • Interview, hire and train department personnel. Monitor performance by collecting relevant information and prepares statistical reports

  • Write management and technical reports

  • Develop test lab; identify standards and train personnel

  • Ensure health, safety and cleanliness standards are followed

  • Ensure products meet or exceed established quality and regulatory standards

  • Inform stakeholders of quality issues

  • Maintain QA/QC testing plan and documents results

  • Verify departmental processes are followed

  • Conduct periodic review of processes and adjusts as necessary

The perfect person will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quality, engineering, or related technical field

  • Minimum 5 years related quality management experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Proven record of developing and implement Quality programs in a manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge of statistical software packages (Minitab)

  • Familiarity with plastics, dry powder processes, metal forming/welding, and associated testing methodology

  • Ability to effectively influence cross-functionally at various levels within the business

  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
