We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator who will grow at our Vancouver, WA office.

The Marketing Coordinator position will be a key member of the Marketing Department, supporting various functional groups including Brand, Creative Design, Digital/Social, Project & Content Management as well as collaborating across other functions (Sales, Category / Product Management, Technical Services).

The primary responsibilities of this role will include executing various Marketing tactics and completing Administrative tasks.  The position will report to a Brand Manager.

The ideal candidate for this position would have a background in Business & Marketing, experience executing Marketing tactics, and personality traits including a strong desire to learn, high-energy, positive can-do attitude, a bias for action, and desire to grow & develop into future roles with Hawthorne.  

In this role you will:

  • Assist with the development and execution of various Strategic Marketing tactics…

  • Event - Planning meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developed schedules & assignments; coordinating mailing lists; event management; etc.

  • Product - Assist in executing product launches or existing product support

  • Promotions - Assist in facilitation and execution of promotional campaigns.

  • Media - Execution of Media placements to support Strategic Marketing Plans / Campaigns.

  • Digital / Social - Supporting needs for Digital activation (Websites, Search, Digital Advertising, Social, etc.)

  • Retail - Alignment with Sales / Category teams on Retail Marketing needs / execution; Sample processing; etc.

  • Cooperative advertising - Coordinate with vendor partners to maintain co-op advertising calendar alongside the Category team

  • Assist with Administrative Tasks:

    • Maintaining of Marketing Campaign / Content Calendars.

    • Processing of IOs/POs to support

    • Coordinating with Content Manager to assist in creation / refinement of content across platforms (Websites, Catalogs, E-Commerce, etc.)

    • Broadcast communication to customer base for price changes, promotions, announcements, etc.

  • Other tasks identified by Marketing Department management that assist in executing Department responsibilities.  

The perfect person will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing preferred but not required.

  • 2 yrs. marketing coordinator experience preferred but not required.

  • Working knowledge of Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets) & Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
