We are looking for a EHS&S Coordinator who will grow at our Santa Rosa facility. 

The environmental, health, safety and security coordinator directs and supports the implementation and maintenance of all comprehensive EHS&S systems and programs within the facility. The position provides leadership and technical expertise to obtain company-wide excellence in environmental, health, safety and security, while continuously promoting improvements within the facility’s EHS&S program. This position ensures compliance with all applicable local, state and federal regulations throughout the facility and ensures that the facility maintains an environment free of recognized health and safety hazards. 

In this role you will:

  • Coordinate, implement and enforcement of the company’s safety programs.
  • Provide daily guidance and direction in EHS&S programs at the employee / supervisor level to ensure a common and effective approach.
  • Responsible for assisting in the identification of possible environmental, health and safety hazards.
  • Evaluates the risk and recommends improvements with all site environmental, health and safety hazards; develops, communicates and implements a plan to correct or prevent these hazards and reviews the plan to ensure their effectiveness.
  • Maintain and update as needed SOP’s for all safe work practices including equipment operation and utilize them in the day to day training.
  • Assist in the documentation and tracking of performance and consistent compliance of plant EHS&S programs.
  • Coordinates and perform to the facility training plans by conducting employee orientations; emergency response training; and coordination of training and safety programs for the entire staff within the company.
  • Coordinate with Plant Manager on facility deficiencies and monthly safety inspections. Maintains all regulatory logs and documentation associated with permits and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with maintaining the Emergency Action Plans.
  • Participates in the investigation of incidents, near misses and property damage incidents. Ensures proper reporting is completed and manages the corrective actions based off company policy. 
  • Maintains and tracks all facility environmental permits on site.
  • Ensure the timely submission of applications for renewals, modifications and/or changes to the site’s environmental permits.
  • Maintain, document and file all employee training and safety records and violations.
  • Ensures proper training, care and use of production equipment and machinery.

The perfect person will have:

  • Must be safety conscience.
  • Knowledge of state and federal safety laws.
  • Knowledge of state and federal labor and environmental laws.
  • Ability to implement OSHA & industrial safety programs
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to speak Spanish is preferred. 
  • Basic understanding of MS Word & Excel..
