We are looking for an Analyst - Digital Marketing who will join our Hawthorne Digital Marketing team.

This position will be based at The Hawthorne Gardening Company’s world headquarters in Vancouver, WA.

The Analyst - Digital Marketing will be responsible for assisting with Hawthorne Gardening Company’s digital channels including email, social media, analytics, and others. Work with Hawthorne sales and marketing teams to develop and execute email marketing campaigns and execute social media efforts for Hawthorne.  Responsibilities include development of digital communication calendars, scheduling and execution of communications, as well as generating and distributing regular performance reporting. This role will provide sales support and business analysis to the team as it relates to digital marketing. This position will also support other facets of digital marketing including website maintenance, search marketing and online advertising.

In this role you will:

  • Executing Hawthorne’s brand vision in the digital space by ensuring that digital communications accurately portray the brand image and voice.
  • Execute email marketing related communications targeting both new and existing customers across consumer, retail and commercial segments.
  • Prospecting and lead nurturing via social media and email as an acquisition channel for Hawthorne.
  • Manage digital communication channels to ensure that customers and prospects are receiving the correct message at the correct time.
  • Oversee and grow all social media activities across the Hawthorne family of brands social media platforms.
  • Assist with the development of new website content.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of online advertising campaigns to support lead generation and sales goals.
  • Other digital marketing related tasks as needed.

The perfect person will have:

  • BA/BS degree in Digital Marketing, Marketing, Communication, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years experience in digital marketing or other equivalent experience;
  • Strong spelling, grammar, editing, proofing and communication skills;
  • A detail-oriented, reliable and enthusiastic disposition;
  • Tech savviness with an initiative to learn new software systems quickly;
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical and critical-thinking skills;
  • Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal
  • A startup/hustle/roll-up-your-sleeve mentality;
  • A results-oriented focus and flexibility with continuous change;
  • Ability to contribute collaboratively to a team while also working independently and proactively to analyze issues and improve results;
  • Software skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Suite, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Facebook Business/Ads Manager, Sprinklr, HubSpot, Zaius;
  • Exhibit a passion for, and have the ability to learn and adapt to the rapid changes in the digital environment.
  • Knowledge of online marketing activities including email, social media, online advertising, analytics, search marketing and display advertising.
