We are looking for a Supply Manager to lead a team of demand planners, supply planners, and buyers in the execution of the demand and supply planning process. The Manager’s role is to be collaborative leader and to guide the team in order to meet sales and customer service objectives for Hawthorne’s Growing Environment Category.

 

 

What you’ll do in this role:

  • Provide leadership and mentoring for a team of demand planners, supply planners and buyers

  • Develop and communicate demand and supply strategies to achieve service level and forecast accuracy targets and reduce excess inventory

  • Collaborate with category, sales, marketing, manufacturing and other supply chain partners to ensure planning strategy is executed

  • Help drive the S&OP process to gain consensus and alignment with cross functional partners

  • Identify, drive and deliver process improvement to improve productivity and accuracy

  • Partner with cross functional teams to resolve supply issues; find solutions and drive to completion

  • Collaborate with key vendors to ensure inventory targets are met

  • Develop ad-hoc reports as needed to identify and communicate risk and opportunity

  • Lead a team, develop talent and drive succession planning  

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field

  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in a supply planning / manufacturing / logistics / planning environment

  • Experience and working knowledge of SAP, JDA or similar planning systems

  • Advance skills in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Effectively partner cross-functionally within the organization

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both visual and oral

  • proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong analytical and statistical skills

  • Creative thinking and ability to drive continuous improvement
