We are looking for a Production Planner to join our team.  If you enjoy working with a team of highly effective individuals in a fast-paced and high-energy work environment, then you will thrive in this role!  The Production Planner is responsible for planning and executing the material requirements and scheduling finished goods production that meets customer delivery requirements while driving operational efficiencies.

What you’ll do in this role:

Production Planning:

•        Utilizing material and production requirements from SAP.

•        Develop and communicate the production plan for site according to established weekly processes.

•        Issue and maintain production orders.

•        Monitor and understand key drivers of production schedule compliance.

•        Align with Operations on the shift plan by line that will meet production requirements.

•        Partner with Operations to identify opportunities to drive efficiencies.

•        Ensure data integrity on SAP for proper planning to meet fill rate and inventory turns objectives.

•        Determine the required materials and generate purchase orders.

•        Collaborate with the Procurement team and vendors to ensure materials are available to support the production schedule.

•        Provide one point of contact for all plant-specific production-related questions from other functions and utilize problem-solving skills to collaborate with other internal functions and/or external contacts to resolve issues.  Metrics that tie to this key work include customer order fill rate (service), inventory dollars, production site compliance, and distribution/transportation cost.

•        Support and develop supply chain cost-saving projects.

Inventory Management:

•        Provide reconciliation support as needed related to inventory, production postings and accounts payable issues.

•        Continued focus on reducing excess and obsolete inventory

Deployment Planning:

•        Collaborate with the deployment team to develop and execute the most cost-effective plan to deploy production and maintain inventory supply across the warehouse network, balanced against fill rate results.

New Item Tracking/Planning:

•        Participate in annual execution of new SKU initiatives.

•        Includes participation in project planning meetings with other internal functions, and ensuring product is available to ship from across the network to meet target availability dates.

What you’ll need to be successful:

•        3-5 years’ experience in a production planning environment.

•        Bachelor's degree required

•        Production or planning systems experience using SAP, JDA, Blue Ridge or similar preferred.

•        Must have advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

•        Good communication skills

•        Strong analytical and organizational skills.
