We are looking for a Finance Manager who will grow at our Vancouver, WA offices.
This person will be the Finance liaison for the Marketing and Product Teams with a focus on improving/sustaining portfolio profitability

In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for strategic planning, budgeting/forecasting for sales, new product financials and provision for inventory expense.
  • Financial analysis and business case support for new products.
  • Product lifecycle management, E&O analysis, and SKU rationalization to help the company focus on increasing cash flow.
  • Articulate and understand current financial results and forecast results.
  • Financial analysis and business case support.
  • Pricing and trade analysis.
  • Ad hoc analyses and reports for the benefit of various marketing and finance leaders.
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, Hawthorne products and the consumer products industry.
  • This position will report up through the Director of Finance.


The perfect person will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Six or more years of post-undergraduate work experience in public accounting or industry financial roles.
  • Experience with SAP and BW.
  • Communicates effectively internally and externally.
  • Operates with a sense of ownership.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are important, as this person will be interacting with all levels of management.
  • Ability to be creative and flexible, and should be a high achiever with the potential to move into positions of increasing responsibility.
  • Focus on customer needs – position will interact with wide variety of people and functions, so strong sense of customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with colleagues remotely that are based at other Hawthorne locations.
