We are looking for an Executive Administrative Assistant (EA) who will join our Hawthorne team (a subsidiary of Scotts Miracle-Gro) in our Marysville, OH location on a hybrid work schedule (you MUST be local).

The EA will act as a strategic partner to two key executives to accomplish their most important priorities by assisting with or delegating work on their behalf. This will be flawlessly executed by:

  • Acting as a gatekeeper for executives and proactively shifting appropriate meetings to other members of their staff.

  • Prioritizing executive's emails and responding if possible on their behalf. 

  • Maintaining relationships with the executives’ direct reports and other key stakeholders and leaders. 

  • Managing details for team meetings and celebrations.

  • Prioritize the executives’ time, anticipate needs, and address issues before they arise. 

The EA will partner with each executive and their teams to execute key strategies and projects by assisting in the development of next steps, action items, and communication of results by:  

  • Ensuring preparation of materials for upcoming meetings, agendas, and necessary presentations with meeting leaders and attendees. Manage the required follow-up and action items with meeting leaders or via meeting notes. Attend meetings to facilitate the completion of follow-up actions.

  • Establishing necessary processes and procedures to improve organizational effectiveness and tracking of tasks completions. 

The EA will lead and manage the communication flow between the executives, their direct reports, and other stakeholders by:

  • Managing administrative tasks to keep the executive's day moving smoothly and efficiently. Managing calendars, travel, and expenses. 

  • Exercising discretion related to sensitive information.
