We are looking for an Analyst, Sales Planning & Communication.  This role covers market analysis, sales planning, communication, and business operational support for Retail and Commercial Field Sales Teams (FST).  The Sales Analytics Analyst gathers important data and compiles it into reports and presentations for our sales organization to make critical business decisions. The Sales Analytics Analyst has the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and translate business data into actionable and digestible information that improves internal decision making. This role will report directly to the Director, Sales Planning & Communication.

In this role you will:

  • Capture customer and market forward looking data 

  • Lead ongoing analysis of business performance to support daily operations

  • Review and analyze segment and category account growth opportunities

  • Conduct customer & product profitability analysis

  • Ability to gather data, form insights and communicate plans to drive profitability. 

  • Track forecast accuracy, and refine inputs on a monthly and quarterly basis

  • Leverage analytical skills to identify shortage opportunities, uncovering root causes, proposing solutions and driving change

  • Design and interpret key performance metrics

  • Oversee and track usage of team systems (e.g., CRM), including Hubspot

  • Manage CRM processes and corresponding execution

  • Provide status of promo effectiveness and provides recommendations for promotional optimization.

  • Partner with cross-functional groups across the business to analyze components of the business where problems/trends exist.

  • Leverage business performance data (Invoiced Sales Reporting, etc.) and business intelligence (BW, SAP, Customer Systems) to understand current trends and future opportunities

A qualified person will have:

  • Bachelor degree in math, science, finance, or related field

  • 3+ years of experience in sales operations, business planning, management consulting, or strategy role

  • Strong expertise with Excel, relational databases, and CRM tools

  • Experience with SQL, Tableau, and/or Business Objects (or similar analytical packages) is preferred

  • Ability to take MS Excel data, create illustrative graphs for presentation purposes
